There is a driver for the CUPS printing system that will produce PDF
files. (<a rel="nofollow" href="http://cip.physik.uni-wuerzburg.de/~vrbehr/cups-pdf/">http://cip.physik.uni-wuerzburg.de/~vrbehr/cups-pdf/</a>). Under
windows, you can also install a driver for a Postscript printer. Then
configure the driver to print to a file. After the Postscript file is
generated you can use the 'ps2pdf' utility from ghostscript to make a
PDF out of it.
This will get you PDF format files, but if PDF features like
table-of-contents links are important, these solutions probably won't
get you what you want.
