Just ask.  There is no need to buy cable TV, too.  They do give a discount if 
you buy both.  I recommend that you get the broadcast channels only.  It only 
costs $10, but they'll give you a $10 discount, so it is effectively free. 
(I'm talking comcast, here.)  And the reception is much better.
