One other thing I forgot to mention: When running Windows XP (Home
or Pro) with a Samba share in general (not specific to ACT or other
databases), you may have to disable the "Web Client" service on each
XP machine in order to get a decent response time connecting to the
server. Otherwise, the XP machines will try to establish a WebDAV
(HTTP) connection to the server first, which may take 10-30 seconds
to time out before the users can access the share.
