[ale] DVD Burning

I've got many DVD burners under Linux and I'm seeing an issue that I can
not fix.  Sometimes when I burn a DVD everything looks good.  Cdrecord
is not having issues.  It looks as if the burn went well.  When I try to
mount the DVD it appears as if nothing is on it.  Is this media
related?  Why would there not be some indication of error?
