I had told a couple of folks at last week's meeting that I would post
links to desktop apps that I regularly use that are written in Java.
Here are a few key ones:
ArgoUML - a UML modeling tool
<a rel="nofollow" href="http://argouml.tigris.org">http://argouml.tigris.org</a>
jEdit - an extensible text editor
<a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.jedit.org">http://www.jedit.org</a>
RSSOwl - an RSS aggregator
<a rel="nofollow" href="http://rssowl.sourceforge.net">http://rssowl.sourceforge.net</a>
Eclipse JDT - an IDE for Java
<a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.eclipse.org">http://www.eclipse.org</a>
~ To illustrate the cross-platform nature of Java we had discussed,
you can download any of these for PC Linux and Windows or OS X to see
how similar the applications are across these very different platforms.
Regards,
