List,
~ Tonight's Java on Linux topic sounds like it will be fun. For those
who may not know, there's a section of the java.net site devoted to Java
on Linux[0]. I moved to Java as a development platform, with one of its
great attractions for me being cross-platform operability of
applications, particular server-side n-tier systems with a browser-based
presentation layer. I have several key tools for development and
modeling that I am able to run on Windows, Linux and Mac due to the fact
that they are Java-based. It's nice to be able to function as a good
citizen of any of those environments without having to sacrifice key
tools I use to get work done.
