I've gotten a number of similar scams over the past few months.  A
couple of them have been clever enough to register domain names very
similar to the real organization they're impersonating (eg
"earthlnk.net"), so even when looking at the page source the scam
wasn't immediately obvious (other than the fact of *any* organization
trying to collect such info via email, of course). My policy is that
if a legitimate organization really wanted to contact me about
something like this, they'd mail me a piece of paper. Ironically, in
the age of the Internet, only paper is trustworthy.
