Linuxant kernel modules (usual binary + open source shim crap) for some of
their programs have:

MODULE_LICENSE("GPL\0for files in the \"GPL\" directory; for others, only LICENSE file applies");

as the License. The inserted null to trick programs into thinking the 
modules are GPLed is what caused all the uproar....
