I guess I'm insane. :)  I started using Korn ksh around 1989 and 
continued until I started using Linux and found pdksh.  Although I have 
found some differences, in the time that I've been using Linux/pdksh 
(circa 1995) I would say that, for me, it's a reasonable replacement.
