[ale] Sony DRU-500A

Hi ALE,

Has anyone had any luck with the Sony DRU-500A under Linux?  I have one of 
these and have been trying off and on for the last year or so to get it to 
burn DVDs.  I am not having any luck right now -- it seems to talk to the 
drive, but seems to think that it has incorrect media in it.  I have tried 
Sony DVD+RW's, Memorex DVD+R's, Memorex DVD-R's and Sony DVD-R's... 

If you've been successful at burning DVD's of any kind with this drive, please 
drop me a line indicating what kernel, software + rev, and drive model and 
firmware you're using.  I'm really anxious to burn more than CD-R's with this 
thing.
