I have also used palms (well, really Visors and Treos) for several years
pretty easily with Linux.  They sync very well with jpilot.  I have had
much more success recently with syncing to Evolution and Fedora (now
Core 2).

I actually like the syncing and installation environment better on Linux
than the 'Palm Desktop' on M$.  It is _much_ easier to manipulate
individual files with pilot-tools on Linux than Palm Desktop on M$.
