micron is 1/1000 of a millimetre). The small particle size enables it to 
penetrate into cavities through cracks in wall finishes, pipe runs and 
electrical sockets.&quot;

Note that most A/C air filters won't filter smoke.  You have to buy the 
expensive type to filter particulate that small.  Mainly, I'd look for 
erratic drive behavior if smoke got inside the drives and overheating 
issues from smoke covering the heat transfer devices and ruining thermal 
conductivity.
