Subject: [ale] detecting terminal from bash_profile or login script?

Does anyone know how I can detect what terminal I've logged in on from
the .bashrc or .bash_profile file(s)?

I'd like to customize my prompt (and other things) to let me know which
tty I'm on.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance!
-CB
