Jim> Hi All, Debian uses vi as the editor for the mutt email
Jim> client. Every now and then I end up editing an email and
Jim> throwing off the line wrap. Line wrap is set to 72
Jim> characters. What command would I use to whip the email back
Jim> into shape. Google and Linux for Dummies Quick Reference
Jim> didn't uncover what I am looking for.
You want to pipe the text through 'fmt -72', so some variant of '}!fmt
-72' should do it to the current paragraph.
(Of course I'd just make sure auto-fill-mode was on and then hit M-q
if I needed to force a refill; then again I'm not a vi using heathen
:).
