[ale] Good perl book for an absolute script beginner.

Hi Everyone,

Can anyone recommend a good perl programming/learning book?
I have programmed in C and C++ before but never in perl. (My C and C++ programming has only been done on a dos system until now. Never got around to learning the windows stuff.)

I have now (finally) started using my Linux system on a more daily basis. (I'm writing all my email on my Mandrake box now.)

There are some things I want to play with, and I want to use perl for that. 
I just succeded in making a bootable install DVD from my downloaded Mandrake ISOs, and want to automate some of the steps. I think that perl would be the best solution to do this. Am I right about this?
