The biggest problem seems to be that some fonts are missing

I've grabbed the latest Debian package of OO in the last three weeks,
and it seems a lot better about the "Smart Quotes". I  didn't check all
the fonts, but it seemed to be working correctly when I opened up some
docs  just now that I had on my hard drive.
