[ale] Linux + Diskless boot + Wireless?

A friend of mine hit me with an odd proposal.  He wants to take an old
laptop and boot it diskless (PXE) over a wireless connection.  Has
anyone does such a thing or even know if laptop/802.11b hardware is 
likely to work in this kind of setup at all?
