i just noticed that Jonathan Rickman and attriel both mentioned running multple
sshd's during the upgrade [as opposed to unsafe telnet] -- that's probably a better
way to go. i guess it comes down to whether you believe you're more susceptible to
sniffing attacks or an ssh exploit ;] take your pick.
