Although I don't recall running into a web site that requires the 
shockwave plugin, I've noted that there are some out there.  There's a 
reference to a link where you can let Macromedia know that you'd like to 
see such a plugin at the following link:

Now if someone knows of such a plugin, by all means, let me know as I 
could not locate one.

I'm talking shockwave not flash, which are two different technologies.
