You are welcome, but understand, I'm far from an expert on these issues. 
  I'm providing information based on my previous research and 
experiences.  That said, I will admit that I'm always biased away from 
any technology that involves M$, (Just in case anyone hadn't figured 
that out yet), but I do try to keep an open mind.

Bottom line is, if there is a solution that works and does not involve 
M$, that's the direction I'll head.  The only reason I had researched 
pptp was because when I was with AT&T, there was a short stint in which 
that was my only access to the company intranet.  Didn't last long, once 
the security of that solution was properly researched. ;)
