[ale] F-Prot questions

I've installed F-Prot and am starting to mess with it a little. I'm using a 
dual-boot PC, sharing Word and Excel files (OO on my PC, MS Office on 2 
others) and have a few Win PC's in the house sharing the network - so, I'm a 
little concerned about virus's, worms, and trojans.

Have any of you messed with anti-virus software? Prefer one over another? 
Recommend any source for wrappers to make the command line interface a little 
simpler for a beginner?
