Excellent point. Is it the chicken or the egg? Actually, those who do
email dev should design clients that are smart enough to auto diff
text mail from html mail and visa versa.  Further, the mail client
should be able to format the output from such emails into various
formats and do it so it's not ugly. Specifically, the users preferred
format. Sounds crazy, but people would like it...  However, you'll still
have an archeived email that pretty ugly.
