I've got to laugh on this one.  I would suggest you might have problems 
installing ANY distribution on 'semi-faulty hardware.' :)  What exactly 
is that anyway?  Kinda like George Carlin used to say, what is a 
semi-bone?  Either it's got a bone or it doesn't.  Either it's faulty or 
it's not....
