I appreciated it.
I wasn't paying attention to this thread until the praise. I picked up the
information and saved it after seeing that it was something I would need.
Arguments could be made to "pay attention" and yadda yadd yadda . . ..
My question (not trying to be a troll like that guy pushing the "other" thread
on this list today):
Is the use of bandwidth on this list excessive?
(How did adding an extra 10K of reply really damage/harm anyone?)

I understood the argument about the effects of changing the subject line on a
threaded mailing list. I can understand trimming in general (as a potential
time saver for other readers). I even understand "save the whales" and
"save/conserve water," but "save the bandwidth?"
