[ale] NFS hang on RH 9.0

I've switched one box to RH9.0 but may go back to 8.0 due to some 
"issues".  One is with NFS.  I'm trying to mount NFS shares from
an RH 7.2 box.  Here is what I do:

1) On RH 7.2 Box:
   # /etc/rc.d/init.d/nfs start
   # exportfs -o rw,no_root_squash 192.168.2.8:/tmp

2) On th RH 9.0 box
   # /etc/rc.d/init.d/nfs start
   # mount -t nfs 192.168.2.5:/tmp /mnt/tmp


The problem is the mount hangs in the mount system call.  The
only way to break out of it is to do an init 6.  Does anyone 
know what the problem might be?  I've updated the RH9.0 box to the
latest and greatest.
