If you've got a CD burner, you could probably copy the disk and thus
at least have a backup, though it's not as nice as being able to run
them off the network. I have one machine with a plain CD-ROM and a
CD-RW that I use for this. I made a backup of my Win98 install CD this
way and was able to install from it. I'm not sure if other forms
of copy-protection would cause trouble for you, but I'd think if
you can mount the disk you should be able to make a working copy.
