[ale] SuSeLinux8.0 and Apache1.3 versus SuSeLinux 8.1 and Apache 2.0

Hi there y'all,

anyone with any opinion on the subject line I would be pleased to hear 
from.

I have bought the 8.1 package but have not tried to 
upgrade because the important part of 8.0/1.3 is working exremely well, and I 
have heard bad thing about 2.0
??
I have the former setup on a machine and it is 
presently serving up pages flawlessly??from 5 websites right 
now.
??
But still the Linux is a disaster. The floppy and 
the DVD and the burner wont work so I cant back up my config files.The CD-rom is 
working although the machine seems to be confused as to which drive is 
which.??The printer will print a test page ok, but thats it.... try to print 
anything else and it just does..well nothing!
??
I have little positive experience with Linux and 
chose it for my server because of the price.
??
