[ale] Installing KDE

Guys/Gals,

I've *finally* got KDE 3.1.1 compiled.  I am now going to switch to it
on my RH7.3 machine.  All the new stuff is loaded in /opt/kde?  

Here are my plans.

1) mv all /usr/bin/<kde type> binaries to a temp directory
2) Make symbolic links of everyting in /opt/kde/bin to /usr/bin/<file>
3) Pray it works.

Is this a good plan of attack?
