[ale] HP printer 'vanished' in RH9 !

HP printer vanished in RH9!

Clean install of RH9. In the procedure, Kudzu found the printer, as an
HP 810 DeskJet [actually it is an 812C]. Loaded /home/user dir. But,
cannot print anything. Where is the printer now?

Ran Kudzu from command line and gui, which ran "Gnome-print-manager" My
install excluded KDE stuff. Is this a clue? Printer is attached and
powered up - but how can I make RH9 see the printer?
