[ale] Suse or Red Hat? (yes, yes, i know here we go again...)

Ditto to what Geoffrey said. I converted all of my boxes to Suse 8.2.

Further, Geoffrey helps me with my Suse problems - a "value-added" benefit. :)
I did find out that most of the loss that I saw in speed between RedHat and
Suse was due to the Nvidia drivers. Once I finally got the Nvidia drivers off
of my LAN, Linux life got better.

Suse has many things installed or makes them easy to install. For example,
Suse comes with "plugger" which can play most files in the browser. Mp3
playing seems to be included somehow (or it is so easy to install I forgot
that I had to make an effort). Suse is easier to use. There is one downside:

Suse has made things so easy, that I am starting to forget the little amount
of command line and configuration stuff I know.
