[ale] AIT [Sony] tape drive that won't spit out the tape ?

do a shutdown on the machine. Turn the machine back on.. While it is rebooting hold down
the eject button.  Hold down the button until the system is rebooted completely and the
tape is ejected. It should eject the tape by the time you get a login.
