It works for me....
I use gnome, and I think Evolution uses the gnome libraries. It calls
gnome-moz-remote with some specific args to pass to mozilla. There's
probably a way to change that, try looking in the gnome configurator
"gnome-config".
If you're not using gnome, then I'm clueless, sorry.
