[ale] Kernel v2.6.0

I just downloaded and compiled the latest kernel v2.6.0.  I must admit that I did not keep up with the various threads during its development, so I am a little behind the power curve on its implementation.

All went well during the compile and start up with the exception of IP-Tables.  Is kernel 2.6.0 still using IP Tables, as did the later versions of kernel 2.4?  

Also, is there a site somewhere that cross references kernel 2.4 and 2.6 in regards to features and where one goes during configuration to enable/disable them prior to compiling?
