[ale] Compiling Apache + PHP

I've got my base disti up.  I decided to go with LFS sice I could easily
build without using vmware.  It is a nice web site.  I need to compile
Apache with PHP support.  I assume I do the following:

1) Download and compile PHP
2) Download and compile Apache

Is there anything I need to know before I attempt the compile?
