I would not worry about 95,000 - it's really not that big as far as
databases go. As you stated, proper indexing and SQL tuning is far
more important. Also remember to change the defaults in your postgresql.conf
file: they are set to allow Postgres to run on a wide range of platforms,
and thus are pretty crappy performance-wise.
