[ale] ptrace exploit

in case anyone wasn't already aware, there is a fairly recent ptrace
exploit that works on most 2.4.x and some 2.5.x kernels.  the release date
i found for the exploit is march 24, though it's been in the kernel for
years!  redhat has already released some rpm [yuck] fixes, so in this case
it's actually an advantage to run red hat ;]  make sure you patch your
systems soon, and disable remote shells until you do.
