[ale] X and power management

I have configured my laptop to act as an Xterminal (server) for another 
linux machine.  However, if I close my laptop lid, after sometime, the X 
"session" seems to timeout, and I have to login again.

Is there a setting somewhere that will make this work better?  How about 
an adjustment to a timeout?
