[ale] OS Sound Editing Programs

I'm going on a trip this weekend and will be without my XM radio.  I
record some streams to be burned to CD to play in the car.  I'm looking
for a good sound editing / mixing app to run under Linux.  Seems like
MAC OS X has man good ones.  Any pointers?
