I don't care what they say...
Once he sees a few commercials and sees that
mojo-logo sitting on that hardware, 90% of your average Joe is gonna pick up the
Microsoft hub/switch/router over that LinkSys/Dlink/SMC.
Imagine a hub that has a translucent case, with a red
blinky light inside. Oh, and say it offers the best in Windows compatibility!
...or Microsoft's latest ActiveBlinxing technology, allowing that red glow to
eminate from your task bar whenever you're connected to your Microsoft
hub.
How do you suppose they'll figure user licensing on a
hub? I bet they'll be generous and let it retroactively come with any version of
Windows, but Mac/UNIX/Linux users will need a Microsoft Open Transit License
Support Pack, you know, to comply with industry standards.
Doggone
it, Geoffrey... You always bring out the worst in me!
:)

I didn't have to buy my radio from a specific company
to listen
to FM, why doesn't that apply to the Internet
(anymore...)?
