I guess I would ask you what your definition of a 'networked printer'
is. Initially, although I was wrong, I suspected you included any
printer that was accessible across a network, as in the printer hanging
off of a PC.
Now I assume you strictly mean a printer that is connected directly to
the network, via, I would guess, ethernet? My own ignorance here, but I
want to understand your terminology...

I didn't have to buy my radio from a specific company to listen
to FM, why doesn't that apply to the Internet (anymore...)?
