[ale] Redudant links

Okay,

We know that cable modem and DSL links have their problems.  A freind of
mine has DSL and cable modem.  He would like to somehow have redudant
links.  He has both coming into a firewall and one interface going to
the switch for the private subnet.  It seems you can only have one
default gateway.  Does anyone know how this is possible?  Other than a
heartbeat script?
