I just don't consider this a problem. I really don't understand
people who *expect* the computer not to delete files when told
to do so. If they want that behavior, they should replace
"rm" with a shellscript that makes a backup copy. (OTOH,
distros should supply such a script, and probably should
make it the default "rm", for the benefit of people who are
used to broken stupid MS products.)
When *I* accidentally delete an irreplaceable file (which hasn't
happened in years), I just flog myself with the cat-o-ninetails
and wear the 'ol hairshirt until I've redone all the lost
work.
