[ale] OT: Java + IE + Weblogic

I just have to vent.....
rebooted my M$ workstation here at work 3 times just to install service pack
for IE and things still *&&(*$#$#^$& up!
Weblogic server, java servlet, dynamically generates an excel file which is
streamed to the browser. Everything nice and cool except it does not work
from weblogic on SunOs to IE. Mozzila/Netscape/Opera works from both NT and
SunOs, IE only from NT. Once server finishes streaming the file and closes
output stream IE says it can not open the location. I am off to search the
web with little hope I can find any pointers .......
