Earlier PALMS required a hardware add in to have IR functionality.?? 


That add in was far more powerful than the built in IR in the PALM III.


Idunno about later models that.

I didn't have to buy my radio from a specific company to listen
to FM, why doesn't that apply to the Internet (anymore...)?
