[ale] cpu utlization & memory usage reporting

What tools could I use to monitor a Web server for CPU utilization and
memory usage to determine if/when it is overloaded. It would be nice to have
some sort of report to view to tell how a server is performing and to know
when it would be necessary to increase hardware resources.

How about database monitoring? What tool(s) could be used to monitor how
well MySQL or Oracle are doing handling requests from an application server?
