Operating as designed.  The point is, when you change user via 'su' you 
retain the environment of the previous user.  If you want to get the 
environment of the user you're changing to, use 'su - userid' as noted 
above.

I didn't have to buy my radio from a specific company to listen
to FM, why doesn't that apply to the Internet (anymore...)?
