Ethereal doesn't suck in windows... Works just as well as in linux... (as good as that gets)

Ethereal, by design runs very slowly when on linux or windows.  It doesn't even compare to sniffer pro.  It's not even in the same class... but for followign streams/conversations, ethereal does it's job wonderfuly!

the only problem I would think one might have is displaying a large trace with no filters... In this case the only way around that is to add more ram! (we use 256 in class with no issues)
