[ale] RedHat 7.2 partition problem

I am trying to install RH 7.2 on a Dell laptop. I get to partitiong and it 
shows one vfat partition for the entire disk. Any time I select to add a new 
partition of any size, I get this error message:

"Could not allocate requested partitions: 
Partitioning failed: Could not allocate partitions as primary partitions."

And it refuses to go any further. Does anybody know a way around this 
roadblock?
