[ale] Scratchy sounds in KDE fixed

Here is an update.  I tried most everything to get the scratchy sounds
to stop. XMMS would sound like a scratched record and skip portions of
songs.  I resolved this issue by switching from Autodetect to Threaded
Open Sound System in the sound server setup.  This seem to be what I
needed.  I assume that sound is not like is used to be.  Just a node in
/dev.  Now it is managed by a daemon.  More things to go wrong. 

Has anyone got festival support in GAIM working?
