Well, this is the Atlanta *Linux* Enthusiasts list.. *grin*
If your version of find supports the "t" (type) option (and it better)
you could always do this:
find /etc -type l -ls | grep "/etc/init.d/xxx"
Barring that, you may have to try something like this:
find /etc -ls | grep " -> /etc/init.d/xxx"
